The HP (High Pressure) system is designed to be installed inside an AHU or duct system to humidify air to a desired relative humidity. Proper humidity levels have been shown to be important for health and comfort of occupants. Maintaining proper humidity is also important for many industrial and manufacturing processes. The HP system uses a series of nozzles to spray a very fine mist of water droplets into an air stream. During this process the air absorbs moisture increasing its relative humidity levels. As the water droplets evaporate, they absorb some energy in the form of heat from the air. This
loss of heat causes the air temperature to drop, resulting in a phenomenon known as adiabatic cooling.
